Board Members
Mark Spangler, Chairman
With more than 10 years spent founding, supporting and funding 15-plus emerging technology companies, Mark's professional history is distinguished by his leadership in guiding firms through various stages of development, including venture and strategic financing, long-term business planning, and merger and acquisition activity.
Mark is president and Chief Executive Officer of The Spangler Group, a multi-family investment office established in 1982 and headquartered in Seattle, Washington. They operate private investment partnerships on behalf of the group members with strategies in fixed income, public and private equities, hedge funds and real assets (real estate, oil and gas, and timber).
William Carleton, Board Member
William Carleton is a member of the Seattle law firm McNaul Ebel Nawrot & Helgren PLLC, where he works primarily with entrepreneurs in establishing and growing information, media, software and Internet-based business. He has served dozens of technology companies over the past sixteen years, in roles as legal counsel, secretary, advisor and board director. Carleton joined the Tamarac board of directors in 2003. He also serves on the board of directors of TechTell, Inc. and has previously served on the board of directors of Authora Corporation, Bot.Net and Tegris Corporation. In 1999, with Mark Spangler, he co-founded Spangler Ventures, LLC. Carleton is an accomplished writer, and holds an MFA, with distinction, from Cornell University and a JD, magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School. He is a member of the Washington State Bar.
Dan Fine, Board Member
Dan Fine is an entrepreneur and Internet veteran having been involved in the successful launch and IPO of numerous companies including Aris, Bot, Inc and In2Gr8 Corporation. He also has direct experience raising venture capital funding and with mergers and acquisitions. Dan is currently the CEO and founder of Fine Business Solutions which delivers Microsoft business solution packages. Dan has received several awards for his solid business planning, including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and Small Business Person of the Year Award by SBA in 1999.
